Rose Mary School

Rose Mary School is located on Palwas Road in Sikar. The pin code here is 332001. It is a straight shot down the main road. We have a building that fits all the students we have right now. It’s a busy road so there’s always something going on outside the gates with buses and cars. Inside, we just focus on the classes and the students. We have been here for years. The classrooms have the usual wooden desks and chairs. We keep a schedule and try to stick to it as best as we can. It’s a school for the local families in this part of Sikar. We don't go in for anything too fancy or modern. We have the standard subjects that every student needs. Teachers come in from different parts of town every morning. We spend our days grading papers and talking to the kids about their work. The playground is where everyone goes during the lunch hour. It can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, which is just how it is in Rajasthan. We have a small office near the front where we keep all the records and files. It is a very normal school. We don't have any big slogans or banners. People know us because we’ve been around the neighborhood for so long. We just do the work of teaching every single day. If a lightbulb goes out, one of us changes it. We just keep the place running so the kids have somewhere to go.
