Hotel Shiwalik Regency

We are located up here in Shimla, specifically near Christ Church on the Ridge. Most people know the church, so finding Hotel Shiwalik Regency isn't too hard. Being at the 171001 pin code area means we are right in the middle of things. The weather up here changes fast, and we spend a lot of time making sure the place stays warm enough for guests. It’s an old building, typical for this part of town. We don't have all those modern glass walls you see in big cities. It’s more of a traditional spot. We’ve got a small staff, and we all do a bit of everything. Sometimes I'm at the desk, and other times I'm helping with the bags or checking the rooms. It’s busy during the tourist season, and then it gets really quiet when the snow starts or the rain gets heavy. We don't do much marketing, mostly people just walk in while they are visiting the Ridge. It's a nice spot to be, right near the landmark. We try to keep the rooms tidy, but it's an old place, so it has its quirks. Life in Shimla moves at its own pace, and we just go along with it. We’ve seen many travelers come and go over the years. Some come for the views, others just for a quick stop. We're just here to provide a place to stay while folks are exploring the Ridge area. It’s not perfect, but it’s our place.
