Himland Hotel East

Our hotel sits on Circular Road, which is one of the main ways people get around this town. It's a convenient spot because you aren't stuck right in the middle of the crowded walking areas, but you can still get to things pretty quickly. The building itself has a bit of age to it, which we think gives it some personality. We have rooms that look out over the valley, and on clear days, you can see quite a distance. It's a family-run kind of place, so you'll often see the same faces working here year after year. We don't go in for anything too high-tech or modern. The furniture is solid, and the rooms have what you need to stay warm when the mountain air gets cold. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a squeeze because of how the roads are built on these slopes, but we usually manage to find a spot for everyone. We spend a lot of time on maintenance, painting walls and fixing leaks, because the rain here can be quite heavy. It’s a quiet enough place to get some rest after spending the day out on the trails or shopping. We just try to keep things clean and comfortable for whoever decides to stop by for a few days. That is how we have always done things here.
