Himalayan International School

We've been up here at Kalyani House in Chharabra for quite a while now. It's a quiet spot, away from the main rush of town, which helps the kids stay focused on their books. The weather can get a bit chilly in the winters, but everyone just bundles up and gets on with things. We try to keep the classrooms tidy and the grounds look decent enough most of the year. People around here know us as a place where the students actually spend time outside when the sun is out. It’s not fancy, but we have what we need to get through the day. Sometimes the monkeys cause a bit of a stir near the gates, but that’s just life in the hills. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we see each other at the market too. We follow a steady schedule from morning till afternoon. The building itself has some history to it, being an old estate, and it takes some work to maintain. We don't make a big fuss about things, just try to make sure the lessons happen on time. Parents usually drop their kids off early, and there’s a bit of a line of cars on the narrow road. We do our work, the kids learn their subjects, and we all head home when the bell rings. It's a simple setup we've got going on and it works for the families in Chharabra.
