Chambhu Public High School

Chambhu Public High School is situated right on the Mdr District Road in Urtu, Kullu. If you are driving through this part of the 172023 area, you will likely see our building sitting by the side of the road. It’s a high school, so we deal with the older kids who are working toward their final exams. The atmosphere here is pretty simple and unpretentious. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment or a polished corporate image. We are just a local school where the teachers show up every morning to do their work. The building is functional, and we do our best to keep it tidy, though with so many kids around, it’s always a bit of a struggle. We focus on the textbooks and the exams because that’s what matters to the families here. The staff members are all from the local community in Kullu, so there’s a real sense of connection with the parents. We don’t spend money on big ads or mission statements. People know who we are because we’ve been here for years. Sometimes we have to deal with the mountain weather, like heavy snow or rain that makes the road difficult, but the school stays open as much as possible. It’s a practical, everyday sort of place. We aren’t trying to change the world; we are just trying to help the kids in Urtu get through high school. It’s a humble job, but it is what we do.
