Auckland House School

It’s been quite a while since Auckland House School started up here in Simla. If you walk around the area, you’ve likely seen the buildings. It gets cold here in the winters, but the kids just wrap up and get on with their classes. We don't try to be anything too fancy, just a place where students come to learn their subjects and spend their days. There are a lot of stairs and hills around because that's just how Simla is. Most people in town know where we are. We have teachers who have been here for years, just doing their jobs and making sure the children behave. The classrooms have that old feel to them, which some like and some don't really think about. It’s a busy place in the mornings when everyone is arriving. We try to keep things organized, though with so many students, it can get a bit loud during the breaks. The view from the windows is usually pretty good when the mist clears out. We don't spend much time talking about ourselves because the work speaks for itself. It’s just a normal school day after day. Parents drop their kids off, they pick them up, and in between, we do the teaching. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains heavy or the snow starts, but we manage. It’s just part of living in the hills. We keep the place running and focus on the basics of education.
