Amba Valley School

Amba Valley School is located out in Shahuwadi, which is part of the Kolhapur district. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for those of us who live here, it’s just home. The school is a modest building set in the local landscape. We spend our days teaching and looking after the kids who come from all over the Shahuwadi area. It’s not a high-tech facility, but it’s got everything we need to function. The air is a bit different out here than in the city, which is something we like. We keep a pretty regular schedule. Doors open early, and we stay until the last student heads home. There’s no corporate management behind us, just a group of people who want to keep this school running for the 415101 community. Sometimes we have to deal with the typical issues of a rural school, like power cuts or road repairs, but we just get on with it. The kids are used to the place, and so are the parents. We don’t have a lot of fancy events; we just focus on the classes. It’s a straightforward school life here. We take pride in keeping the grounds tidy and the classrooms ready for use. If you’re ever in this part of Kolhapur, you’ll find us easily enough. The school has been part of Shahuwadi for years, and we plan to keep it that way for the long haul, helping out where we can.
