We are located in the village of Chhatami, near the post office in Gopi Ganj. This area is known for carpets, and we are just one of the many places here doing this kind of work. Our setup is more of a traditional workshop than a factory. It’s a large space where the looms are kept and where the materials are stored. It gets quite dusty and loud when everything is moving. We have people from the village working here every day. It’s a lot of manual labor and requires a lot of patience. We’ve been in Chhatami for a long time. The building is old and has been repaired many times over the years. We don’t have a big showroom or anything like that. If you want to see what we do, you just walk into the workspace. It’s a bit messy with wool and threads everywhere. We don’t really do any formal advertising. People who need carpets usually know where to find us in Gopi Ganj. The pace of work depends on the orders we have. Sometimes it’s very busy and we work late, other times it’s a bit quieter. We just take it as it comes. It’s a hard way to earn a living, but it’s what we know. We just keep the machines running and try to stay on top of the work. Every day is different, but the goal is always the same.
