Fahad Exports. We are based out of Fattupur, right along Modh Road. It’s a bit away from the main city buzz, which suits us just fine. The road can get a bit dusty when the trucks go by, but it’s the main artery for getting our goods out. We have a fairly large space here where we handle all the export work. Most of the day is spent checking the items coming in and making sure they are packed correctly for their long journeys. We aren't big on titles or fancy office talk here. We just get the work done. The building is practical—high ceilings and plenty of room for storage. We often have the big doors open to let the air circulate, especially when it’s humid. You’ll find us mostly in the warehouse area rather than sitting behind desks. There’s always something that needs moving or a crate that needs sealing up. We’ve been operating from Fattupur for years, and most of the people working here are from the surrounding villages. It’s a local operation through and through. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall; we just try to make sure we don’t make mistakes with the orders. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us so far. The rhythm of the day depends on the shipping schedule, so some days are quiet and others are a total scramble.
