Siddhanath Bhojnalay

Siddhanath Bhojnalay is a small place we run in Sangli. We are located on Kupwad Road, which is a fairly busy stretch if you are heading towards the industrial areas. The Warnali road is also quite close by, so we get a lot of traffic from both sides. We call it a bhojnalay because that is what it is, a place for simple meals. Most of our customers are people who work nearby or drivers passing through Vishrambag. It is not the kind of place you go for a fancy dinner party. It is more about sitting down and eating quickly so you can get back to work. We start early in the morning to get the stove going and start the preparations. My wife helps with the cooking and we have one more person to help with the cleaning. The building is simple, nothing special to look at from the outside. Sangli is a nice place to live, it is not too fast but it is not slow either. We have our regulars who come in every single day and we know exactly what they want without them asking. Sometimes we run out of things early if it has been a busy afternoon. We don't have a website or anything, we just stay here on Kupwad Road and do what we do. It’s just how we make our living.
