Gemgates College

Gemgates College sits right on the Attur Salem Main Road in Kothampadi. We are pretty easy to find if you are driving towards Atur Ho from Salem. It’s a busy road but the college itself has its own space. We provide various degree courses for students in the district. It started because there weren't many options for higher education right in this specific pocket. The building is functional and we have classrooms for different subjects. We have a lot of students who commute every day from the smaller towns nearby. It isn't a high-pressure environment like those big city universities. We just try to get the teaching done. The staff is mostly local people who understand the needs of the students here. Sometimes we have events in the common hall, but mostly it is just regular lectures. The library is a quiet spot where people actually go to read. We don't have a massive marketing budget or anything. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or relatives who studied here before. It's a practical place to get a degree without having to move too far away from home. We keep the gates open early for the morning batches. It’s just a standard college helping local kids get their qualifications. We try to keep things running without too much trouble for anyone involved here.
