Arjuna Academy

Arjuna Academy is situated in the Dhanalakshmi Complex on Arthanari Street. This is in the Swarnapuri area of Salem, specifically at zip code 636004. A good way to find us is to look for the Joy Alukkas store; we are right around the backside of that building. The complex itself is usually bustling with people going to different shops and offices. Our space is one of the units inside. We’ve got a few rooms where we hold our sessions. The desks are a bit older, and the chairs have been sat in by a lot of people over the years. It’s a practical place. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather just have good light and enough space for everyone to sit comfortably. You can hear the sounds of the street from the back windows, but it’s not too distracting. We usually arrive early to open up the shutters and get the fans going before it gets too hot. Most of our day is spent talking through different subjects and writing on the board. When classes are over, there’s usually a bit of a rush as everyone heads out to the main street. It’s a regular part of the Swarnapuri landscape now. We know the other shopkeepers in the complex, and we all just go about our business in a friendly way. It works out well for us. We just keep showing up and doing the same thing each week for the students.
