Vishrv Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are just a group of local people here in Mohalla Sikri who decided to start Vishrv Farmer Producer Company Limited. It all happens out of Shashi Malik’s house. Most of us have been farming for a long time, so we figured it made sense to work together instead of everyone just doing their own thing separately. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a regular place where we meet up and talk about the crops and the work that needs doing. There are plenty of challenges when you’re dealing with the land, but having this setup helps a bit. We spend our days looking at the soil and trying to get things ready for the season. Shashi helps keep things organized at the house. Sometimes the weather is good and sometimes it isn't, but that’s just how it goes around here. We don't have a big corporate team, just neighbors and friends who know each other well. People stop by when they need to discuss something or if there’s news about the market. It’s pretty basic, but it works for us. We just want to make sure the work gets done and that the farms in our area keep going. It takes a lot of time to get everything right, but we’re used to the long hours. Mostly we just sit together and figure out the next steps for the group. We are just trying to get by and keep the tradition of farming alive in Sikri. It’s a lot of dirt and a lot of sweat but it’s our life.
