Usman Handicrafts

Usman Handicrafts is located in Green Park, specifically in Nadeem Colony, right across from the Eid Gah. It’s a pretty well-known spot in the neighborhood. The area gets very busy, especially during festivals or on Fridays. We have our workshop right there, and you can usually hear the sound of tools working away from the street. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around that you know. We don’t have a big management team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the work ourselves. The space is filled with wood shavings and the smell of whatever we’re working on that day. We have benches and stools scattered around where we sit for hours. It’s not the most comfortable setup, but it’s what we’ve always used. Sometimes we take a break and sit on the steps outside to watch the traffic go by. The building itself is plain and simple. We focus more on what’s happening inside than how it looks from the outside. People from the colony stop by just to say hello sometimes. It’s a tight-knit place. We’ve been here for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. We start early, take a long break in the middle of the day when it’s too hot, and then work until late. It’s just honest work that keeps us going in this part of town.
