About Hashim Handicrafts – Art & Craft in Saharanpur
You can find us at number 4 in Aman Market, right by Pul Banzaran. It’s a busy little corner of the world, and there is always something going on outside our door. Hashim Handicrafts is basically just a few rooms filled with tools and materials. We spend most of our hours sitting at the workbenches, trying to get the details right on whatever piece we are working on that day. It gets loud sometimes because of the traffic in the market, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room, so if you come by, you’ll likely just find us with our sleeves rolled up. Sometimes the shipments arrive late, and we have to scramble to get things ready, but we manage. The shelves are mostly full of half-finished projects and old tools we’ve had for years. It’s not a shiny showroom, it’s a workshop where things actually get made. We like being part of Aman Market because everyone knows everyone else around here. If we need a spare part or a quick snack, we just walk a few doors down. It’s a simple life, and we don't need much more than our tools and a bit of space to work. The floor is usually covered in wood shavings or scraps, but that’s just a sign that we’ve been busy.
