New Mughal Handicrafts

We’ve been here at Ahsan Manzil for quite a while now. It’s a busy little spot in Sarai Mardan Ali, right near the Chowki Shahadat. Most days, you’ll find us busy with the tools and the materials, just trying to get things right. The shop isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to make our handicrafts. It gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic and people passing by, but that’s just how it is around here. People know us as New Mughal Handicrafts, and we’ve lived in this neighborhood all our lives. We mostly focus on the handwork that’s been passed down through the family. Sometimes the lights flicker or the dust gets in from the street, but we keep working through it. It’s not fancy work, just honest stuff made with our hands. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the trade well. Often, neighbors stop by just to chat while we are finishing up a piece. The address is easy to find if you know where the chowki is. We start early in the morning and usually pack up when the sun goes down. There’s always something to sand or paint or fix. It’s a quiet life in a loud area, if that makes sense. We don’t spend much time on the computer or making flyers, we just stay here and do the work.
