Akashdeep Handicraft

Akashdeep Handicraft is a small place located at 14, Ashok Nagar. We are right near the Miglani Building which makes us easy to find. We’ve been working out of this space for several years. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most days although the traffic on the main road can get loud. We make various handicrafts using traditional methods. There are no big assembly lines here. Just a few of us sitting at benches working on individual pieces. We use a lot of local materials that we source from the markets nearby. The workshop is often cluttered with half-finished projects and scraps of material but we know where everything is. We don’t have a receptionist or a sales team. If you walk in you’ll likely find us with our sleeves rolled up working on a new order. We take pride in the fact that we do everything ourselves. Sometimes a customer will ask for something special and we’ll spend a few days figuring out how to make it work. It’s a creative way to make a living and we enjoy the challenge. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to keep making good things and stay part of the community here in Ashok Nagar. Most of our customers are regular people who have heard about us from their friends or neighbors.
