Riyasat Ali Wooden Handicrafts

Riyasat Ali Wooden Handicrafts is located right on the Main Road in Khata Kheri, just opposite the Nagar Palika Quarter. If you walk by, you will usually smell the sawdust and wood polish before you even see the shop. We spend our days carving and shaping wood into different items, some small and some quite large. It is a traditional kind of work that takes a lot of patience and steady hands. The shop is often cluttered with half-finished pieces, blocks of raw wood, and the tools we have used for years. We do not have a big factory; it is more of a workshop where everything is done by hand or with simple machines. Being opposite the Nagar Palika Quarter makes it easy for people to find us. We get a lot of people just stopping in because they saw something interesting through the window. It is a dusty job and our clothes are always covered in shavings, but there is a good feeling in making something from a plain piece of timber. We do not really do much online stuff or big ads. Most of our work comes from people who live in Khata Kheri or travelers passing through the main road. We just try to make things that look decent and last a long time. It is a slow process compared to modern factories, but that is just how we like to do things here.
