You can find us at Kala Punaruthan Producer Company Limited in the Hatamunuguda area. We are located in the Muniguda police station limits in Rayagada. It is a part of Orissa that stays pretty busy with agriculture and local crafts. Our group is made up of people from the nearby villages who wanted a better way to organize what we produce. Whether it's crops or things we make by hand, we try to get them to the market without too many middlemen getting in the way. It’s a simple goal but it takes a lot of daily effort. The office in Hatamunuguda isn't very large. It’s mostly a place for us to meet up and talk about the plans for the month or to handle the accounts. We don't wear suits or use a lot of corporate jargon here. Most of us are more comfortable in the fields or in the workshop. We’ve learned everything the hard way by just doing it and seeing what works. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we fix them and move on. People in Rayagada are hardworking, and we try to match that energy. We don't have a lot of time for fancy talk.
