Unitech Residental College

If you head over to Debottar Colony in Nayagarh, you’ll find Unitech Residental College. We aren't some huge university campus with endless lawns. It’s a residential college, which means the students live here while they do their studies. It’s a bit different from a normal day school because the atmosphere stays the same even after the classes are over. The building sits in a fairly quiet spot, which is good for those who are trying to focus on their books. We have rooms for the students and classrooms for the lectures. It’s all pretty basic. The dining hall is usually the busiest place around meal times, and that’s where most of the talking happens. It’s a place where young people come to get through their college years. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just provide the space and the classes. The walls might need a fresh coat of paint here and there, and the furniture is simple, but it works for what the students need. Living together means they learn to get along, which is just part of being here. It’s a straightforward life for them—wake up, eat, go to class, and study. We’ve been in the Nayagarh area for a bit, and we just keep things running as best as we can without making a big show of it. It is just a place for students to stay and get their work done without distractions.
