Netrananda Sahu Women'S (Degree) College

We are located out in Kakatpur, which is a quiet spot in the Puri district. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, so things move a lot slower here. The college building is where the local women come to finish their degrees. It’s a plain structure, nothing like those big modern campuses you see in the city. We have some trees around the grounds that provide a bit of shade when it gets really hot in the afternoon. Inside, the classrooms are basic with wooden benches and old ceiling fans that hum all day. You can hear the birds outside during the lectures. The students come from the nearby villages, some walking and some taking the local bus. It’s a very local feel here. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech stuff, just books and chalk and the regular routine of exams and classes. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider to let the breeze in. It feels like a small community where everyone knows everyone else’s family. We handle the paperwork in the small office near the entrance, where there’s always a stack of files waiting to be sorted. Life here is steady. We just keep the doors open and make sure the classes happen every day. It’s an honest place to get an education without any of the extra noise or fuss you find elsewhere.
