We’ve been here at Rohan Complex in Sadashiv Peth for a while now. If you know the Pune Stock Exchange area, we’re right near that Gandhi Road turn. It is a busy spot, lots of people walking by and traffic. Our space is filled with stacks of books and papers everywhere, which is just how a publishing place looks after a few years. We spend most of our time dealing with manuscripts and getting things printed. Sometimes the machines act up or the delivery guys get stuck in the Kothari Pole traffic, but we manage to get things out. It is not fancy here. There is a tea stall nearby where we usually grab a cup when things get too hectic. People come in looking for specific titles or just to ask about printing their own work. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just some desks and shelves. It is a lot of manual work, checking pages and talking to authors who drop by. The monsoon makes things a bit damp, so we have to be careful with the paper stock. It is just us doing what we have done for years in this part of Pune. Nothing too complicated, just keeping the press going and making sure the books find their way to the shelves. It gets noisy with the road right there, but you get used to it after a week or two. That is pretty much us. We like the neighborhood.
