Gulmohorbookcentreratethis is our little shop on Bibwewadi Road. We are located in the Snehasadan building, which is in the New Timber Market area and quite close to the Suvarnayug Co-operative Bank. It is a bit of a strange place for a bookshop, surrounded by all the timber yards and big trucks, but we have been here for a while now. Inside, it is a lot quieter than the street outside. We have books stacked up on every available surface. Sometimes it is hard to walk through the aisles because there are so many boxes of new arrivals waiting to be sorted. We carry a bit of everything, from school books to novels. It is not the kind of place where everything is in alphabetical order on the shelves; you might have to dig around a bit to find what you want. We enjoy the smell of the old paper and the quiet atmosphere. People from the neighborhood stop in after they finish their business at the bank. We do not have any fancy coffee machines or comfortable sofas. It is just a place for books. Some of the covers are a bit faded from the sun coming through the window, but the stories inside are still fine. We spend our days answering questions about where things are and helping people find something interesting to read. It is a simple life, and we are happy to be tucked away in our corner of the timber market. There is always a new book to put on the shelf.
