If you go down Refinery Road in Gorwa, you'll find us. We've been in Chinchwad for a long time. The shop is mostly just a big room with counters and some storage in the back. We make everything right there. The smell of boiling milk stays on your clothes all day. I grew up in this shop, watching my uncle work the big iron pots. Now I’m the one doing it. It’s not a glamorous job. Your hands get dry from all the washing, and you’re always worried about the batch burning. We make the usual things like pedas and barfis. People come in mostly during the festival times, then it’s really crazy. We have to bring in extra help then. But on a normal Tuesday, it’s just quiet. A few people stop by for a half-kilo of something to take home to their families. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy boxes. We just use the plain white ones with the blue string. The lights in the shop are a bit dim, but we know where everything is. It’s a solid business. We work hard, we make good food, and we hope people like it. That’s about all there is to it. The floor is a bit uneven, so you have to watch your step near the back entrance. We’ve been here so long the building has some character.
