Out here in Hadarpur, life moves at its own pace. Chordia Food Products is situated right where you can smell whatever is being processed that day. It’s a simple setup, mostly just the production area and a small space for the staff to eat and take breaks. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever is available. The road leading up to us can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we are always cleaning the floor. We focus on making the products the way they’ve always been made. There isn't a lot of automation here; a lot of it is still done by hand or with older machines that we know how to fix. The workers are all local people from around Hadarpur. We know each other's families and what's going on in the village. It’s a humble place. We don't spend money on big advertisements because the local shops know where to find us. Sometimes we have a backlog of orders and everyone has to pitch in, even the office staff. It gets a bit hectic, but we always find a way to get it done. The sun sets early over the fields nearby, and that’s usually when we start packing up for the day. It’s a quiet, honest kind of life. We like it this way.
