Prabhat Talkies is the main thing nearby that everyone knows. Shaniwar Peth is full of history and narrow lanes, so things can get a bit cramped when there is a function going on. Our place is used for various gatherings and events. It’s an older structure, which you can tell by the way the walls and the floors look. Modern glass interiors or fancy decorations aren't part of the setup here. It feels more like the old Pune. Street noise is a constant because Narshi Natha Street is usually busy with people going about their business. Managing a karyalay means we deal with a lot of different people every week. Some days are very loud and some are just quiet while we clean up after a big group has left. We’ve stayed here for years because this is where our roots are. This isn't a fancy wedding hall, just a practical space for local families to use. Finding a place to park can be a real headache sometimes, but that’s just Shaniwar Peth for you. Doors stay open and we manage things as they come. It’s hard work but it’s what we do. We've been around for a long time.
