Vandaniy Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Maharaj High School

We are located out on the Daund Kurkumbh Road in the Gopalwadi area. This school, Vandaniy Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Maharaj High School, has been a part of this community for a long time now. Daund is generally a quiet town, and Gopalwadi is even more peaceful. The school building is pretty basic and follows the style of most schools in this part of Maharashtra. We have long rows of classrooms and a large, dusty field out back where the older boys play cricket once classes are over. The wooden desks are quite old and have definitely seen a lot of use over the many years. We spend our mornings checking that uniforms are neat and making sure the blackboards are ready for the day. It is a lot of routine work. Many of our teachers have to travel from quite far away to get here every morning. We usually share the local news and talk about our families during the short tea break. There isn't much high-tech equipment in our rooms. We mostly rely on the textbooks and the teachers explaining things clearly. The rain can be a real problem during the monsoon, as the road outside gets very muddy and messy. We have to remind all the students to wipe their feet properly before they step inside. It is a simple life for us here. We don't have any big slogans or fancy logos. It is just a school.
