Nachiketas High School&Jr.College

Panchgani is always a bit misty in the mornings. We’ve been here at Nachiketas High School&Jr.College for quite some time now. The building sits right there, catching the breeze. Most days, you’ll find us trying to keep things organized while the students run around the hallways during the breaks. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular school where we teach the older kids and the younger ones too. The address is Panchgani - 412805, which most locals know well enough. Sometimes the fog gets so thick you can barely see the gate from the main office. We spend a lot of time just making sure the classrooms are ready and the blackboards are cleaned off. It’s a lot of work, honestly. Between the exams and the sports days, there isn't much quiet time. The staff here has seen many batches of students come and go over the years. We remember some faces more than others, of course. We don't have a big corporate team writing our brochures or anything. It’s just us teachers and the office folks trying to keep the place running. The windows rattle when the wind picks up during the monsoon season. We usually have to remind the kids to wear their sweaters because it gets chilly up here. It’s a simple life, really. We just show up, do the job, and hope the kids learn something useful before they head out into the world for good.
