Vandana Garden Restaurant & Bar

Down here in Shukrawar Peth, things are always moving. Our place is on Tilak Road, right near Hira Baug Chowk. If you know the Bank of India branch, then you know exactly where we are at. It’s an old part of Pune and we’ve seen the streets change a lot over the years. We have the garden area which is nice when the weather isn't too hot, and then the bar side for people who want to unwind after work. It’s not a quiet place, to be honest. Between the traffic noise from the road and people talking, it stays pretty lively most nights. We get a mix of older folks who have lived in Shukrawar Peth forever and younger guys coming in from other parts of the city. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have fancy menus or anything like that. Just the usual stuff people like to eat and drink. Sometimes we run out of things or it takes a minute longer when it’s packed on the weekends. We just do our best to keep things moving. It’s a local spot where you don't have to dress up or anything. Most of our regulars just come in their sandals and hang out for an hour or two. That’s just the way it is here. It is just a place to sit and have a drink.
