Vaishnavi Snacks Centre

This snacks centre sits right in the Kothrud Industrial Estate on Anand Mahal Road. It’s a busy spot, especially when the shifts change at the factories nearby. We started Vaishnavi Snacks Centre because people needed a place to grab something quick while they were working. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. We are in Surat, so it gets pretty hot during the middle of the day. We have a few benches where people sit. Most of our regulars are guys from the workshops around here. They come in with grease on their hands and just want a quick bite. We keep the stove going for most of the day. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the rush hours. Sometimes we run out of things faster than we expected. We don't have any big signs, just the name over the door. The floor gets swept a dozen times a day but the dust from the road always finds its way back in. We just keep at it. It’s a family-run thing mostly. My cousin helps out when it gets really crowded. We don’t really think about being the best or anything, we just try to make enough for everyone who shows up. Anand Mahal Road is a long stretch, but people know where we are. It’s just a simple snack shop in an industrial area. We work hard, go home, and come back to do it again tomorrow.
