Trupati Family Restaurant

We set up Trupati Family Restaurant right here in Shaniwar Peth on N C Kelkar Road. Being opposite Kanya Shala means we get a lot of noise from the school bells and parents waiting around, which keeps the street lively. Our spot at Survey No 551 has been our base for quite some time now. Pune is a city that loves its food, and we just wanted to be a small part of that. It’s a simple setup we have going. We spend most of our mornings getting the vegetables fresh from the market because that’s just how you have to do it if you want things to taste right. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets a bit hectic, especially during rush hour, but once people step inside, it's a bit calmer. We aren't trying to be some five-star place. We just serve the kind of food we’d eat at home ourselves. The floors get scuffed and the menus get a bit worn out from so many hands touching them, but that shows people are actually coming in. Most of our staff have been with us since we opened, so we’re a bit like a small family. We know where everything is kept even when it’s dark. It's a lot of hard work, standing on your feet all day, but seeing people finish their plates makes it feel okay. We’re just here on the corner doing our thing.
