Tamhankars Moreshwar Sabhagruha

Our hall is located at 17/3 B on Karve Road in the Kothrud area, right near the old Sangam Press building. It’s been a landmark in this part of Pune for quite a while now. We mostly host local events, small gatherings, and family functions. The building itself is simple, nothing like those modern glass towers you see popping up. It has a bit of an older feel to it, which some people seem to like for their functions. We manage everything ourselves, from the bookings to making sure the lights and fans are working on the day of an event. It can be a bit stressful when two groups are trying to book the same date, but we try to be fair about it. The traffic on Karve Road is almost always heavy, so we tell people to plan ahead for their guests. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales team. It’s just us answering the phone and showing people around the space. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint every now and then, but we keep it clean. It’s a practical space for the middle-class families living around Kothrud who need a place for a few hours. Just a local sabhagruha doing its thing. We've seen a lot of weddings and parties over the years and we just keep the doors open for anyone who needs the space for a bit.
