Swamiraj Snack Centre

Swamiraj Snack Centre has been in Rajendran Nagar for quite some time now. We are a small operation. Most of the work is done by just two or three of us. We start early in the morning to get the snacks ready. There’s a lot of chopping and mixing involved before we even open the shutters. The space is small, just enough for the stove and a small counter where people stand and eat. We don't have any tables to sit at. It’s more of a quick stop for people on their way to work or school. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. We know who likes extra spice and who wants their snack a bit more mild. The pavement outside gets crowded sometimes, and we have to ask people to move so others can get through. We don't have a big menu. We just do a few things and try to keep them consistent. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected if it’s a busy Tuesday. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time yet. It’s a busy life running a snack center. We just focus on keeping the stove hot and the snacks moving. It’s a simple life here in Rajendran Nagar and we like it that way.
