Swami Pure Veg

At Swami Pure Veg, we are located at 389 Somwar Peth in Pune, right opposite the Jilha Parishad. If you are looking for the Bolayai Mata Mandir, we are very close to that too. Being a pure veg place in this part of the city means we have a specific routine every single morning. We start early, getting the vegetables delivered and prepping the kitchen before the sun is even fully up. Somwar Peth is an old neighborhood and it has a very traditional feel to it, which we try to maintain in our own way. The building we are in isn't brand new, and you can see that in the floor tiles and the way the walls look, but it’s a solid place. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or try to act like a big corporation. It's just us in the kitchen and a few people out front serving whoever walks in. Sometimes it gets really crowded during the afternoon when the office workers from the Parishad come over for their break. We have to move fast then. The noise from the street can be a lot, but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just the sound of pans and people talking. We focus on keeping the food simple and the tables wiped down. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it’s what we know how to do for the people who come here every day.
