Sundhamataji Varieties

We're located out on Marve Road in the Kharodi part of Katraj. Sundhamataji Varieties is what we call the place. It's a basic store with a lot of different goods piled up. We try to stock whatever the local families might need for their daily lives. The shop isn't very large, so we use every bit of space, even hanging things from the ceiling. It can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. The traffic on Marve Road is pretty constant, so there's always a bit of background noise from the buses and bikes. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving. During the festivals, we get a lot busier and the shop gets even more crowded with seasonal items. I usually spend my time restocking the shelves or helping people find specific items. It's a simple life running a shop like this. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck, but people around here understand. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while and we just take things one day at a time. The floor is old cement and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years, but it holds up. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next customer to walk in.
