Sumadhu Veg Restaurant

You can find us on Sinhgad Road in the Dattawadi area of Pune. We are in shop numbers 5, 6, and 7. It’s right across from the Axis Bank, which makes it easy for people to tell their friends where we are. The road outside is almost always packed with cars and buses. It’s one of those busy Pune streets that never really sleeps. We start prepping the vegetables really early in the morning. There is a lot of chopping and peeling to do before the first person walks in. The bank employees usually come over during their lunch break. It gets pretty crowded around then. We don't have any air conditioning or fancy interiors. It’s just fans spinning on the ceiling and simple tables. We try to keep things clean, but with so many people coming in from the dusty road, it’s a constant job. The kitchen is always humming with the sound of the stove. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, so we know the other shopkeepers around Dattawadi. Sometimes we stand outside for a minute just to see the chaos of the Sinhgad Road traffic. It’s a regular veg place where you get your food and move on. We don't use any complicated recipes, just the usual stuff people like to eat every day. It’s hard work, but we are used to the noise and the rush. We just try to get the orders out as fast as we can.
