My office is at C-105 in Model Colony, right on the Hosur Main Road. If you find the Hennagara Gate, I’m basically right across from the Jain Boarding house. It’s a convenient enough spot, though the noise from the main road can get pretty loud during rush hour. I’ve been set up here for a while now, doing my work and meeting with whoever needs a hand. The building is okay, nothing special, but it stays cool enough in the afternoons. I handle a lot of the day-to-day stuff myself, from answering calls to filing away all the papers that seem to pile up. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so I end up taking the stairs more than I’d like. I usually keep some snacks in the drawer for when the days get long. It’s a bit of a trek for some people to get out this way, but the regulars know where I am. I don’t spend much on decorating the place; it’s mostly just books and a few plants that I sometimes forget to water. I like being near the gate because it’s easy to give directions. "Opposite Jain Boarding" is what I tell everyone who calls for the first time. It’s a straightforward life, really. I get in early, do what needs to be done, and try to head home before the traffic gets completely stuck. It keeps me quite busy most days. It’s fine.
