D M Gole

My office, D M Gole, sits right on Satara Road in the Dhanakawadi area. You have to come up to the 3rd floor of the building in Balaji Nagar to find me at room 309. It’s located directly opposite Shahu Bank, which is a good landmark because the traffic out there can be a real headache some days. I’ve been working from this spot for quite some time now. The office isn't anything too special to look at, just some desks and a lot of folders stacked up on the shelves. From the window, I can see the people going in and out of the bank across the street. It’s a busy part of Pune, and there is always noise from the scooters and buses down below. I spend a lot of my time handling paperwork and answering the phone when it rings, which is pretty often. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and then everyone has to take the stairs, which is a bit of a workout for a 3rd-floor office. I try to keep things running smoothly, but it’s a lot for one person to manage. Most people who come by are locals who live around Balaji Nagar or work nearby. It’s a practical place to do business, and I’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street and the heat in the afternoons. I just keep my head down and get the work done.
