St Helenas School & Junior College

We’ve been at 8, B Susie Sorabji Road for quite some time now. Agarkar Nagar is a busy part of Pune, and our school sits right in the middle of it. St Helenas School & Junior College is a place where you’ll find students of all ages, from the little ones just starting out to the older kids finishing up their junior college years. The morning routine is always the same, with parents dropping kids off and the staff trying to get everyone to their rooms on time. It’s a solid building that has seen plenty of wear and tear over the years. We don’t have fancy elevators or high-tech glass walls, just regular classrooms with desks and fans that work hard during the hot Pune summers. The teachers usually have their hands full with grading and lessons. You can hear the sounds of the city outside, but once the gates are shut, we just focus on the day's schedule. There is a lot of history in these walls, though we don't make a big deal out of it. It’s a practical environment. We have a playground that gets very dusty, and the office is usually piled with files and ledgers. It’s just a normal school where people work hard and students learn what they need to for their exams. We keep things simple and just try to get through the syllabus every year without too much trouble.
