Sps Biryani House

You can find us over at Sps Biryani House on Tilak Road in Sadashiv Peth. We are right across the street from S P College, which means we are right in the thick of things. During the day, the street is packed with students and people heading to work, so it gets quite loud and busy around here. We have been serving biryani in this spot for a long time. It’s a simple shop with basic tables and chairs. We don't go in for fancy decor or mood lighting. Our kitchen starts working early in the morning because the biryani needs time to cook properly in the big pots. The smell of the spices usually starts drifting out onto the sidewalk by mid-morning. It's a small place, so when it gets crowded, people sometimes have to wait a bit or share a table. We don't mind the noise; it’s just part of being in Pune. The staff is mostly just a few guys who have been with us for years. We use the same ingredients and methods we always have. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People know where we are and they know what we serve. Sometimes the traffic on Tilak Road makes it hard for delivery bikes to park, but we manage. It’s just a regular local eating house where you can get a hot meal without any fuss.
