Sona I English Medium High School & Science Junior College

We are located in the Bhekrai Nagar area, near Hadapsar. It’s a fast-growing part of Pune, and things have changed a lot since we first set up here. Being both a high school and a junior college means we have quite a range of ages walking through the doors every morning. The science junior college keeps our labs pretty busy. We aren’t a huge campus with a massive stadium or anything like that, but we have enough space for the labs and the classrooms. Students come from all over Phursungi and the surrounding areas. Traffic on the main road can be a headache, especially during the morning rush, so we always tell the kids to leave home early. Our teachers mostly live nearby too, which helps. We spend a lot of time on the basics. During the science practicals, things can get a bit hectic in the junior college section. We have regular benches, blackboards, and the usual stuff you’d find in any local Pune school. It isn’t a corporate environment; it feels more like a community. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes it hard to get to the gate, but we manage. We just focus on the daily lessons and getting the students ready for their exams. There’s no big PR team here, just us doing our jobs. We've been here for several years, and while the buildings are simple, they serve us well.
