Shubham Darbar Family Restaurant

Out here in Bhugaon, things feel a little different than the middle of Pune city. Shubham Darbar Family Restaurant is located in Saidham Residency on Paud Road. We are pretty close to the Shell Petrol Pump in Bhukum. Since we are on the way to the hills, we see a lot of families on the weekends. They stop by for a meal while they are out for a drive. We have a lot of space for families to sit together. It’s not a quiet place because there are usually kids running around or people talking loudly. We didn't want a place that felt too stiff or formal. The walls have some basic paint and the furniture is just standard stuff that lasts. We serve the kind of food that people in Maharashtra like to eat when they go out. The kitchen staff has been with us for a while, so they know how things are done. Sometimes the wind blows a lot of dust in from the road, but we try to keep the tables wiped down. It’s a busy road, so there is always the sound of trucks and cars passing by. We open up early to get the prep done for the lunch crowd. It’s hard work running a restaurant in this area, but we like seeing the regulars who stop by every time they head out of Pune for a break from the city.
