Shriya Sea Foods

We’ve been running Shriya Sea Foods in Somwar Peth for a good while now. It’s just a regular shop in a busy part of Pune. Being in Somwar Peth means there’s always something going on outside our door. We spend most of our mornings getting things ready and making sure the shop is set up right before the first customers walk in. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. Dealing with fish means you’re always cleaning or moving crates around. We don’t have fancy displays or big bright lights. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. Some of the people who come here have been buying from us since we first started. They know the spot in Pune well. Sometimes the traffic on the road is just too much, but that’s how it is in this area. We just stay focused on the daily tasks. It’s not like those big corporate places you see in malls. We are just local people. We try to keep things simple and honest. Every day is different, depending on what we get in. Some days the stock is exactly what we wanted, other days it's a bit of a struggle. That’s just the nature of this trade. We don’t spend time on big speeches or flyers. If you live around here, you probably know where we are. It’s hard work, but we are used to the smell and the wet floors by now. We just keep our heads down and work.
