Shree Samartha Sweet

Started this little place on Gultekadi Market Yard Road a while back. My family and I are usually here by five in the morning because the market nearby gets going so early. You can hear the trucks and the shouting from the market workers while we are setting up the trays. Shree Samartha Sweet isn't a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It's just a shop with a counter and some shelves for the milk sweets and the dry ones. The air always smells like sugar and ghee, which I don't even notice anymore, but people tell us it’s very strong. We have some old fans that make a bit of noise, but they keep us cool when the afternoon sun hits the front of the shop. A lot of folks who come to buy bulk vegetables stop here for a quick bite or to take something home for their kids. We don't have a website or do any big advertising. Mostly, it’s just the same people we see every day. The floor gets a bit sticky by noon, so we have to wash it down often. We don't really have a long history to tell, we just show up, make the sweets, and hope people like what they get. It's a simple life on Road 6. Sometimes we run out of things early. Then we have to close up. That's just how it goes here.
