About Shree Krishna Bhel & Farsan House – Food & Beverages in Pune
Shree Krishna Bhel & Farsan House has been here on Vidhyapeeta Main Road for a good while now. We open up the shutters early every morning to get the stock ready for the day. This part of Dhanakawadi stays busy with students and families walking past. Most people know the shop by the smell of the fresh farsan we keep in the glass bins. It gets quite crowded in the evenings when everyone wants something crunchy for tea. We spend a lot of time packing small bags of sev, gathiya, and spiced peanuts. The counter is usually dusty by noon because of the road traffic. We just keep cleaning it and moving on. There are no fancy chairs here, just the counter and the snacks. Sometimes the labels on the jars are handwritten because we ran out of printed ones. It is a simple place. My brother helps with the billing while I manage the kitchen side of things where we fry the snacks in large batches. We have a few regular customers who come every Tuesday for their weekly supply of bhakarwadi. If the weather is nice, people stand outside and talk for a bit. When it rains, we have to pull the plastic sheets down quickly to keep the bags dry. It’s just how things go here at 22/3. We try to keep enough stock so nobody goes home empty-handed. The floor is old stone and shows the wear of many years. We don't change much because people like it the way it has always been.
