We have the restaurant part and then the permit room too, so it’s a bit of a mix of people coming in. The area is usually crowded with traffic. Laxmi Road is always like that, especially during the festival times or weekends. We just keep the place running day in and day out. Sometimes the paint looks a bit old but we focus more on what’s happening in the kitchen. It’s a 411030 zip code location. We don’t really do fancy advertising or anything. People just know we are here by the bridge. You can sit in the dining area or head to the permit room if that’s what you’re after. It’s a straightforward setup. We don’t have a big staff, just enough of us to handle the lunch rush and the evening crowds. It gets a bit noisy when the bridge is busy, but that’s just Pune life for you. We keep the doors open and the lights on. It’s just a regular place for regular people to come and grab a bite. The Chowk can be a bit wild at night.
