Shahjis Angana Restaurant

Shahjis Angana Restaurant is up on the first floor of the Bizzyland Building. We are on Kumthekar Road in Sadashiv Peth, which is a very old and famous part of Pune. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up the stairs, but it’s a bit quieter than being right on the street level. Kumthekar Road is always packed with shoppers and students, so it’s never really silent outside. Our place is quite simple inside. We have wooden tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. The atmosphere is very casual, like eating at a friend's house. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big reception desk. Most of the time, we are just busy in the back getting things ready. The crowd here is mostly locals who have been living in Sadashiv Peth for generations, along with some college kids looking for a cheap meal. We serve the kind of food that doesn't need much explanation. It’s just what we’ve been making for years. The windows look out onto the street, so you can watch the bikes go by while you wait. We don't have a lot of space, but it’s enough for our regulars who know where to find us. It’s a humble spot in a busy city, and we are happy staying right where we are in Bizzyland.
