Senses

Senses is located at 81 Mundhwa on Ganeshkhind Road. We are part of the Oakwood Premier Hotel, so we get a lot of people coming in who are staying there for business or just visiting Pune. The 411036 area is always busy, and Ganeshkhind Road is one of those streets that never seems to be quiet. We can hear the traffic from the kitchen sometimes. Our daily routine is pretty standard. We get in, check what we need for the day, and start prep work. It is a lot of chopping, stirring, and tasting. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just want to make sure the food we put on the plates is decent. Sometimes we make mistakes, like a dish taking too long or a drink order getting mixed up, but we try to fix it right away. The staff here is a mix of different people, but we’ve all worked together long enough to know how to stay out of each other’s way in the kitchen space. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice. It makes the place feel more like a community spot even though it’s in a hotel. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s a living and we take some pride in what we do.
