Santosh Sweets

Santosh Sweets is located at Ravet Gat No 1540/14/9 in Sonawane Wasti. It is a bit of a long address but once you find the Gat number it is easy to spot us. We are tucked into this part of Ravet and it feels like a real community here. Most of our customers are the families who live right around Sonawane Wasti. We know whose kids like which sweets and who wants their snacks packed in a specific way. The kitchen area is where most of the work happens. We have the big iron pots and the long spoons for stirring the milk for hours. It is a slow process and you cannot rush it or the taste goes wrong. My hands are always a bit sticky by the end of the shift. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the name of the shop and the items on display. The furniture is getting a bit old but it serves the purpose just fine. We have a small radio that stays on in the background playing old songs. It helps pass the time when things are quiet in the mid-morning. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just run the shop at Ravet and keep the shelves stocked with what people expect from us. It is simple work but it keeps us busy all year round.
