Sankalp Restaurant & Bar

This place, Sankalp Restaurant & Bar, is up on the first floor on Budhwar Peth. We are right there in the middle of Tulsibaug, which most people in Pune know is a very busy market area. Being near Suvarnayug Sahakari Bank helps people find us, and the Aryan parking is close by, though parking in this part of town is a nightmare almost every day. We are opposite Marane Heights at the Babu Genu Chowk. The stairs leading up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when walking up. It is an old building, which is typical for this part of the city. We have a mix of customers. Some are shoppers taking a break from the market and others are just locals who live nearby in Budhwar Peth. It gets pretty loud inside when the bar is full in the evenings. The lighting is not very bright, but it suits the kind of place this is. We have had the same furniture for a long time and it feels a bit worn. You can hear the sounds of the street vendors and the traffic even with the windows shut. It is just how life is in this neighborhood. We do not bother with fancy decorations or anything like that. It is a simple setup for people who want to grab a drink or some food while they are out. (248 words)
